Hello SPAR/WST Swim Team!

Botany Woods is looking forward to hosting your team on Thursday, June 16 at 5:30pm! Here are the meet details:

HEAT SHEETS: We will provide electronic heat sheets on Thursday by 12noon.

POOL DIRECTIONS: Our pool address is 310 Botany Road, Greenville SC 29615.

PARKING: Our pool parking lot will have 7 reserved spots for the visiting team. We also have additional parking available in the pool parking lot. Please do not park in the gravel section at the bottom of our parking lot as this is used as a turnaround space. If the parking lot is full, please park on the pool side of Botany Road. Do not park on both sides of the road.

SWIMMER AREA: Your swimmers will be sitting on the backside of the pool on top of the hill. Part of this area has natural shade provided by trees, but please bring pop-up tents if you would like additional shaded areas for your swimmers. We will provide a cooler of free waters (sponsored by Pepsi) in your area for swimmers

TEAM ARRIVAL: SPAR/WST should be at the pool at 4:30pm

TEAM WARM-UPS: Your team will warm up from 4:45-5:00 for 10 and unders, 5:00- 5:15pm for 11 and ups, and the meet will begin at 5:30pm.

CLERK OF COURSE/EVENT LINE-UP: CofC will be located at the deep end of the pool. Swimmers will enter the gate located behind the diving board.

VOLUNTEERS: Your volunteer table will be inside the main gate of the pool at a round table with an umbrella to the left when you enter. Ribbons and computers will be set up on the long picnic table under the covered pool patio.  We have a 6-lane pool and will use 3 timers plus a recording timer in each lane. First-half officials and timers should meet behind the dive blocks at 5:15pm.

SPECTATORS: Spectators are allowed on the pool deck on the side of the pool opposite the deep end. Coaches will be stationed on the side of the pool closest to the deep end. Swimmers may cheer on other swimmers from this side of the pool as well but should not distract coaches. There is also a large grassy area right outside the pool that can offer additional seating.

CONCESSIONS: We will have a variety of menu items for sale including hot dogs, nachos, fruit, pasta salad, Chick-Fil-A sandwiches and nuggets, chips, candy, ice cream, and drinks. Concessions will be located under the picnic shelter outside the pool gate.

SEVERE WEATHER PLAN: In the event of severe weather, we will follow SAIL's severe weather policy. If we clear the deck, everyone will be asked to return to their cars. You will be notified via SPAR Remind when the swimmers can return to the pool area.
