5/15 A Note from Coach
Hello SPAR Family,
First week of practice, fingers crossed. We will get an update from the pool company in the morning. You will be notified via email/Remind what the status of practice is. I know this is frustrating. Hang in there, we will get in the water when the pool is ready.
If practice goes according to plan - then this is the plan:
Swimmer in the age groups of 10 and younger: practice 5:30-6:30pm
Swimmer in the age groups 11 and older: practice 6:30-7:30pm
Practice is Mon - Thur.
Practice will be in all the lanes of the pool. The pool is not available to the neighborhood, yet.
The practice will be a "working the kinks out" type. Many have not been swimming since July. Many swimmers bodies have gotten taller and stronger since last summer. We will be relearning how the body feels in the water and how it will move.
Board members will be on deck to help with suits and caps that were purchased with registration.
For those swimmers who are need to participate in a swim eval, come to the practice you would normally attend. Coaches will reserve one lane, along a wall, to have swimmers show how awesome they are. The swim eval is one lap, giving coaches an opportunity to observe stroke and strengths.
Swimmer Problem #96 - Can swim a mile without breaking a sweat, can't climb flight of stairs to your classroom
See you at the pool,
Coach Kim
