Hello SPAR Families,
I hope you are enjoying the Spring Weather.
Mark it on your calendars - First Practice is May 17th
New Swimmers Test: For those families who have never swam for SPAR, the new swimmers will need to do a swim test. This test will differ slightly per age of the swimmer. It is very basic, showing how well 1 lap of the pool can be swum. The swim test will occur on Sun May 16th, in the afternoon.
If you have an older swimmer interested in Lifeguarding, teaching Swim Lessons, or Babysitting - I have found some LifeGuarding Classes:

Some reminders, since it has been a while since we have jumped in the pool together.
- Afternoon practice - we use the 4 lanes closest to the parking lot
- Lanes to swim in - the slower lanes are closest to the parking lot, the faster lanes are near the lifeguard chair
- I will get in the water with the 10 and unders the first few weeks of swim practice
- Jump into the pool, no diving unless instructed by a coach
- Helping with lane lines is greatly appreciated
- Kickboards are not a toy. (no throwing, sitting on, splashing with, etc)
In following with USA Swimming Safe Sport practices, Coaches will follow the “Best Practices Guidelines” Please speak to your swimmers about cell phone use in the bathrooms/lockers rooms. Please remember to not use cell phones or cameras behind the starting blocks.
Please remember, today is the last day for Outside Members to register.
If you have any questions, please reach out to me.
See you at the pool,
