Looking ahead...

Hello SPAR Family,

I hope you had a Marvelous Weekend! Great weather, taking care of the Mom's in our lives, and noticing the calendar getting closer to June.

For those of you who are new to the team: Welcome. I'm a tab biased, but this is the Best Team in SAIL.

A little bit about myself: I swam from the ages of 6-22, I was a sprinter. I am a Middle School Science Teacher at Rudolph Gordon. My 3 children are swimmers on the team. I love coaching this team!

Some things to consider as we prepare and hope for the upcoming season:

  • bring spare caps and goggles to practice (i will not bring my spares this year),
  • water bottles (do not share with others or squirt on others),
  • bathrooms (try to use before you come to practice, we will try to use the restrooms as little as possible)
  • swim suits (arrive and leave with them on, again, trying to minimize bathroom use)

As I follow the news on the Covid-19, I am noticing there seems to be be two mindset when it comes to this virus. Those who are eager to get out  and those who are wary. I can tell you that I lean more wary. For example, if I get this virus during swim season, I'm off the deck for two weeks. I ask that everyone be respectful and mindful during the season.

I drove by the pool this weekend. The cover is off! It is adding to my Hope.
