Hi SPAR families! I just wanted to touch base and let everyone know that we have not yet heard from SAIL about whether or not we will be swimming this summer.  We will definitely let you all know when we hear something. We are just going to think positively for now!

One thing that will be affected is our sponsors. This is typically the time of year where we are actively looking for businesses to sponsor our team, which offsets some of our costs each season. With the economic impact on so many small businesses, however, we know that it will be harder to find businesses that are still financially able to support our team. Our deadline for sponsorships this year was April 25th but we may postpone that a bit as we wait to see what will happen with our season. So be thinking if you know of any local companies that may still be able to help out once things settle down. 
The free shipping deadline for swimsuits from Augusta Swim is also currently April 25th so we will keep you posted on a date change for that. 
Last but not least, we were scheduled to have a parent meeting on April 23rd at the library. That is canceled so we will send out a big email covering some of those topics we were planning to discuss once we know how we will move forward with our season.
