A Note from Coach, Week 2
Hello Sailfish Parents,
(yes, I said Swordfish the last two emails, my humble apology, I really thought we were Swordfish)
So to redeem myself, again,
Hello Sailfish Parents,
Did you see how Awesome our team was getting in shape last week? They put in a tremendous amount of work. Coaches kept track of some of the lanes on Thursday. In the Unders group, lane 3 + 4 swam 1200 meters, lane 6 swam 1650 meters; the Olders swam over 1750 meters. Impressive work!
This upcoming week will be different at afternoon practice. The pool is now open to the community. We will now swim afternoon practices with 4 lanes. It will make us more creative in our use of space. We will work on turns this week. Coaches may get in the water with the Unders to help with stroke technique.

Thinking further ahead: the Week of May 27th
Mon May 27th - morning practice 8-9 am, no afternoon practice
Thur May 30th - regular afternoon practice
Fri May 31 - Swim Meet at Orchard Farms, Meet start time is 6pm
Please use the link to access USA Swimming Video Library. https://www.usaswimming.org/officials/officials-training-videos
It is geared towards the audience of individuals wanting to officiate swim meets. Even so, I feel it a good resource to use when comparing what your swimmer is doing versus what they are supposed to be doing.
I hope to see everyone at the pool this week. Fingers crossed no weather delays.
Happy Swimming
